Is it possible, in M-Start, to develop my POC with more than one mining company?

During the bootcamp periodsee Rules and Regulationseach startup should be focused on the development of its POC with only one mining company. After this period, the startup will be able to present the case generated for other mining companies in order to win new customers. The Hub's main goal is to support the development of solutions that can be replicated to all accredited companies.

What is ‘M-Start’? What is the schedule of the first cycle?

It is the Mining Hub program that focuses on the development and validation of Proofs of Concept (POCs) from startups, technology-based companies and projects from science and technology institutions for the challenges listed by accredited mining companies. Sign up.

The first cycle will work as follows:

Once selected, the entrepreneurs of each chosen project take their places in their rightful space in the Mining Hub at WeWork BH to participate in each of the phases:

Phase: Bootcamp; Beginning: November 02nd, 2019; Period: February 18th; Location: Mining Hub (Onsite at WeWork BH) Período: Fev/18; Local: Mining Hub (Presencial no WeWork BH)

Objectives: 1) align information and check project potential; 2) create proof-of-concept planning; 3) present the plan to the mining company (including the necessary resources), changes and negotiation of the POC directly with the mining company; 4) learning and defining procedures for going into the industrial area of the respective mining company for the selected challenge;

Phase: Proof of Concept (POC) - Period: From March with duration of 3 months; Location: Mining and Mining Hub (WeWork BH) Mining Hub (WeWork BH)

Carry out the POC according to the planning (modified along with the mining company during the execution, if necessary), progress reports of the POC;

Phase: Result Sharing (event) + New negotiations (individual)

Presentation of the POC and the results to the associated mining companies (17 so far) and, from the interest of each one, the startup can negotiate a sale or new POCs individually.

My solution does not fit the themes but I would like to present it to the mining companies anyway. What should I do?

Register your project and apply for a spot on the next pitch day at M-Start Connect, a quarterly event that aims to present solutions to accredited mining companies.

How much stake should I give up to mining companies/Mining Hub?

ZERO. The idea of the Mining Hub is to create the connection channel for innovative projects, mining companies and suppliers in the value chain. At M-Start, an acceleration program focused on the development of proofs of concept (POCs), the startup or innovation project will, for 3 to 4 months, work with the sponsor mining company in the POC and, in the end, share their results with all the mining companies in the Hub. From this point on, each team can negotiate individually with each of the companies in question.

I am startup or have an innovation project. How can I present it to the mining companies or suppliers in the Mining Hub?
If you have a solution / innovation for this industry sector, the first step is to see if it fits the themes of the M-Start acceleration program focused on proof of concept development (POCs) - https://goo.gl/tQAGuq . If it does not, we have a continuous selection called M-Start Connect which runs every 3 months where we select some ideas to be presented to the companies https://goo.gl/vutzqu. In addition to these forms, you can follow the Mining Hub schedule on the M-Radar tab and on social media.
How much is available to run my Proof of Concept (POC) at M-Start?
Each mining company sponsor of each one of the themes has assigned an amount of resources for the accomplishment of the POCs. See in the Rules and Regulations the available resources (if any) for the theme that your startup can have access to. It is worth remembering that the resources will be better defined during the bootcamp stage with the sponsor mining company based on the planning for the POC development.
The available resource is "0" or "to be defined in the bootcamp step", what does this mean?
Some mining companies are designing their financial plans for the next year and so the resources available for the POC of the next M-Start have not been closed. If it is "to be defined in the bootcamp step", some resource will be made available, but it has not yet been set. If it is "0", there is no certainty that there will be any available resource, however it may come to exist.
